Exciting weekend/week

We had a garage sale/jelly/jambalaya sale this past weekend. We raised almost $600! So thankful and humbled by God's grace in us. He has blessed us so many times through all of this. We had people everywhere donating items, time, and energy to the sale. So very thankful, I cannot say in words. That being said, I decided a garage sale is HARD work! Especially in June in south Louisiana. Glad it is done :)
I brought our paperwork we have been gathering for four months now to the Chinese consulate
In Houston last week to be authenticated and my awesome sweet cousin picked it up and overnighted it to us which we got back yesterday. I was nervous to leave it there! That was alot if time and money getting all of that together. It was also an experience. The consulate was so crowded and no one spoke English. I got a food taste of what China will be like. At alost 11:30 when they close they were calling for all visas to come to the front in Chinese. I didn't know why they said obviously but everyone started moving and arguing. I got nervous! Luckily the man behind me was translating and explaining it all to me. I was in line for two hours and wasn't about to lose my place! I finally got to the front and the girl that took my papers was tired and aggravated. She told me what to do though and it was all done and now it's back in my hands! Praise God! Tomorrow I will overnight it to our agency to approve and all we have left is our fingerprinting for homeland security/immigration in New Orleans Wednesday. Once that clearance comes back all will be going to China and we will be officially logged in the database and we wait our turn. I will be so happy to have all of the paperwork done, out of my hands, and in China!!
Another exciting but sad part of this week is that Isabel's birthday is Friday. She will be two. I am sad she is not here to celebrate with is but we sent a birthday package to her. It included a cake and toys, a birthday outfit and some underwear, pjs, and yousfor the orphanage. Hopefully they will take some pics of the party and maybe even video and send it to us. That is really the only way to get an update on her. So maybe I will have new pics to post soon!!
